Two car garage

Just to be clear on rules.....do BOTH cars have to be able to carry four adults?....which is how I read the OP.....or just one of them....which must be how others have read it looking at the two seat cars mentioned??? 😄
I read the rules as both able to carry four adults. I took the respondents offering 2-seat cars as typical rule-breakers!

Au contraire! My S65 and MX-5 could carry six, provided there were two drivers amongst us. I feel two 2-seaters would have been within the rules as framed :-)

You just need to be able transport four adults, so at least one of the two cars must be able to accommodate at least four adults 👍🏻

That said, interpretation of the rules/scenario is part of the fun, don’t think too hard about the rules.

I play VW e-Golf until 2026,

when I'll play VW ID3.

Breaking the £20k "rule", and pushing the 4 adults "rule", I'd swap the £15k DB7 in my earlier response for this even less practical DB9 for a mere £30k (If I can stop dribbling for long enough!)

Rather lovely that...but being uber-picky, who's idea was it to mount that sensor/camera slap bang in the middle of the front bumper? Surely it could have been made a bit less obvious.

LOL....especailly as the number plate goes there and it wont see anything..... 😄

I doubt that there's anything as sophisticated as sensors or cameras on there. I'm even more tempted now - just imagining the joy of not having a NOx sensor to go wrong every few months.

I expect it has those.....they have been in some cars since the early 2000s at least.....but at least they won't be Mercedes ones!!!

These two cars would be nice

CL600 £12K

E55 AMG £8K

E46 M3 for £13k

Maserati Quattroporte £7K

F10 M5 £13K

Audi S5 4.2 V8

I could go on and pick more cars for £20k, I'll stop here :)

If you bought the Mazzer for £7800 you would need the other £12,200 to keep it on the road. And you think AMGs are expensive to keep on the road in good order!!!

Personally I've always known that AMG's are not cheap to maintain and I've spent more than £20k on maintenance work on the three S classes but then again, I don't think any AMG owners think they'll be able to run a V8 or V12 for the same money as 220 or 350 cdi.
I also think the AMG's are more expensive to keep on the road compare to the Maserati I posted a link above, especially a V12 AMG. It was a car that I thought people might find interesting? I personally would never go for the 4 door Maserati as I prefer the S classes more, V8 or a V12 W221 but to keep things interesting in this thread, I thought i'd mention a few different car brands, that's all

Don't get me wrong.....I love Mazzers.......but that version of the QP was not pretty. This one is much nicer.....but over the 20k budget!

For those who know - and I know at least @MikeInWimbledon knows - that’s definitely a Chris Cooper answer! 😁

I've got the garage so that's sorted. I'd have to go with my 147 GTA and either a Maser QP 4.7 with the skyhook suspension as a GTS is outside the budget or a CLS 6.3 as a V8 has to appear in my life.

Rules are for the obedience of fools but the guidance of MB Club members....

I'd have that mythical ML AMG that is rumoured to be for sale occasionally somewhere in the Midlands... Plus a properly sorted CLK convertible
