Two car garage

I think most people who like a 928 have not driven one....I've driven a few (my old boss had owned more Porsches than just about anyone in the country!).....and they feel heavy, cumbersome and strangely slow to drive. His 944's were much better balanced and far nicer to drive with better steering even if not that quick. Never could get to like those odd pop forwards headlights either!!!
I’d like to have my 944 S2 back.

NEXT GAME

It’s 1984 and you’ve just won £100,000 on the Littlewoods Pools Spot the Ball. You’ve decided not to move house and only have space to park two cars.

You’ve decided to spend the lot on cars so that you don’t have to deal with the inevitable begging letters from friends, colleagues and family. What are you having?
Any change we can stretch the year a tiny bit?
If so, I can have by B6 3.5S - at the time around £35K from Mr Sytner

Also, mainly because it's a classic:

around £40k with some must have options.
That would have left me a bit of loose change to buy diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires etc. for The Present Mrs Spiky. Only fair as we were married in 1984

Because it’s you - and because it’s a B6 3.5S - then you can stretch the date.

Married in 1984, eh? It sounds like the reason you didn’t win the pools in 1984 is because you hit the jackpot instead that year 👍🏻

Although I like cars and have owned and driven a broad range I've never "lusted" after any car, even as a teenager, so I struggle to successfully play this style of game, I do enjoy the replies though. Keep them coming......

I'm the other way round....always been car mad and struggle to pick just two. Drove one of these once...fun and pretty darn quick at 377 horses..an expensive £48,000 when new in 1991.... any colour you want a long as it's green!

One of my all time faves ( and also admired by Mr Dazzler I believe). I just discounted it as I thought I was pushing my luck with the 1985 Alpina, let alone a 1991 Carlton.

Can I use that line? :D
Of course. I’d happily give you anything.

Apart from the keys to the Mercedes-AMG ForFour AMG Sport Plus Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Navi facelift powered by Brabus.

Toe, I am starting to think that you’re more than a bit weird, and possibly dangerous. And to think that I knowingly met you on a desolated motorway service station car park very early on a weekend morning. Baby D and I could have ended up rolled up in a carpet loosely covered by landfill.

Not because you don’t lust after cars, but because you enjoy reading this drivel. That’s weird.

I’d love one. Someone I know has a couple, one is an estate. They never built a factory estate, it was built from an estate shell using a donor. I’ll dig out a photo.

It turns out it's a real shame I didn't have the 35K to give to Mr Sytner for the Alpina in 1984 (I won't say we were skint, but the church mice had a whip-round for us)....
Not a million miles away from where I'm sat sitting right now is a B6 3.5S for sale and the pools win wouldn't get close to buying it
Alpina E30 B6 3.5 S 60/62 – restored

I wish I’d hopped into a Lotus Carlton when they were all broken and almost worthless, although I wish I’d done that with so many cars. I find it really really difficult to buy cars that I could have bought for much less but didn’t, and these are an extreme example of that.

Here's another one that would have been on my pools win list if it hadn't fallen outside the date criteria...especially in rare Dark Olive Pearl.
Aesthetically as similar as you can get to the coachbuilt Aston Martin Lagonda shooting brake - I almost posted one in side profile.
