Ultra Laptop

Laptop needed. Recommendations please Ok.. so i'm bombarded with every magazine out there.. and still either waiting for price drop, or waiting on a decent reputable company to deliver what i want. Needed.. raw power... for 3d design.. not looks.. but functionality..power . pure power. ROCK seems ok at 3.2 but want other opinions at the best price (not bothered in sony.. looks goody u pay pricy).. anyone use a desktp replacement????

working with 3D stuff on a laptop is always going to be a problem (trust me on that one ) it's not just about raw power it's about powerful graphics cards, a stack of RAM, good screen resolution etc etc.

Take a look at some of the Dell machines - they are reasonaby priced and perform well.

Thanks Andy, looks like its gonna cost whatever i want. I've heard Rock machines are ok

it will also depend on which 3D software you are intending to run, to save boring the ar**s of everyone drop me a PM if you like
