Very Very Very Fast!

Tesco's now have the highest octane rated fuel now I think. However it may take a few fillups before the ECU adjusts fully to compensate for the change.

Yup on 5th Gear where they were testing fuels this week they reset the ECU between each and ran it for some time before testing on the dyno.

tell me you've got that wheel sorted out

and good luck!

Not yet, though if it's too bad (was OK at 180mph yesterday) then ill put the spare on, which is a full size one thankfully!

Tuning

I have bought my first MB, a C180 Auto Sport (1995 variant) :D and its a very tidy example. The exterior has already been modified by the previous owner who is a good friend, with a custom body kit and exhaust.

I'm now intrested in having the engine tuned so that the 122BHP is increased 'slightly' to give it a bit more poke. :)

So - i'm asking for any advice in doing this or I have seen here that DMS have good reviews, could anyone put me in contact with them??

Thanks

I am sure Maff will help you out. (Only another 578 bhp to find :D )

I think 700bhp bit much for my car - but certainly fun

I'd be happy with around the 300mark if possible

The only experience i have of tuning German cars is with a friends BMW. Basically it was very expensive to get any serious gains in BHP ... is this true with Mercedes?

:D

I did however see a very tidy C43 yesterday on e-bay, but sadly lacked the £22 g's to purchase it :( isn't life cruel

very fast

£22,000.00 for a C43 it must be Very special and Very tidy. Do yoy have the item no ?. As you can tell i am interested in all things to do with the C43 .

Peter

the C43 had only a couple of hours left on the clock - so i imagine its already gone. :(

Your opinion/advice please ... how much modification of the engine bay would be required in a c180 to fit the c43 engine?

Would it be practicle

Searching for fun :D

It'd be infinitely cheaper to sell your car and buy a C43 for around £10,000 than it would to try and put a C43 engine and transmission (and suspension and brakes and all the other bits) in to yours. C36's are cheaper again.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news!

Definately agree with that, if you want a C43, get rid of the 180 and get one. They are going for bargain prices at the mo!
