Vibration in 5th Gear (5 Speed Manual Transmission)

My W124 E220's 5 speed Manual gear box was recently overhauled, it shifts and runs pretty smooth. But after certain speed (say 80 KM/H) in 5th gear I can feel vibration on the floor of the car (sound's Burrr...), it gets worse with increased speed.

Vibration goes off if I remove my foot of throttle or I don't see it if I do same/more speed in 4th gear, can anyone please suggest what I should be looking into?

Thank you

When did you get your gearbox service done?
A lot of people think having full service history
Means its been serviced but no until you say
You want it done they won't even touch it
Get it done ASAP

Or check the engine bushes sometimes
That can make the car vibrate too

Probably the propshaft centre bearing if not just rear wheel balance.

I had the same thought as dieselman (prop) but if it was the prop it would vibrate in any gear (given the same road speed), same for rear wheel balance.

I would first check that the exhaust (which was probably removed during the re-con) isnt too close to the underside of the car and vibrating against it under certain drive/load conditions.

lol, i didnt notice the date of the original post, i just followed on from today's posts.
