I have seen these guys advertising these for a while, would just like to know what the panel thinks?...If anyones had any dealings?...Is it a good price?

I have rang the guy, he said all have been retrimmmed, does anyone now of an original part number for these that I can cross reference check?

My only concern regarding these is that they look slightly different to other half wood/leather wheels i have seen for the W124. The cut of the wood strips, where they end near the 3 o clock & 9 o clock positions is different to other ones, these are straight & others are angled, if that makes sense!

no experience of the seller, but they do look good.

here is how a genuine one looks for reference:

silverspoon ,when you compare your one to the ones on ebay, can you see what im going on about with regards to the ends of the wood being cut differently?

Does that mean that these may not be genuine?

i`ve seen this item some time ago,but i can`t stop thinking about it.i`m gona get one soon

yeah i can see the difference. what they probably are, are genuine leather wheels that have been modded with wood trim i assume. they do look decent quality though. they are not genuine mercedes wood & leather ones though. if they are mint/as new then the price is good.

I have only sat behind one in an R129 SL & the feel & touch is 100 times better than a normal leather one & then theres the looks.... A must have when trying to improve your W124 interior imo.

they are definatly worth it.

I just hope, that if they are what you & I suspect & that is that they are modded normal leather ones, that the wood does not fall apart a year down the line.

They say "no airbag" - does that mean that you fit your existing one

yes,without a prob

They are very nice to the touch & look great.

I've got a real one, walnut & black leather, from a W140 S600 if anyone's interested. It came with a darkish grey airbag.

£250 shipped.

£200 puts you in "good genuine 2nd hand wheel" territory..... might be worth waiting out for a genuine one..... although they do look ok.

EDIT - yep i'd spend the extra £50 and get NeilR's one above if it were me....

The ones on eBay dont look right and he seems to have 10 available which makes me doubt its authenticity.
Would go with Neils one as said above.

You was after one of these some time ago.Did youget one than?

Would of taken Neils but unfortunately money has to be spent on other things at the moment!

I have a feeling that that the seller has some sort of affiliation with our good friends CKS performance!
