W126 560 sec 6.0 32v amg

the M119 is essentially a DOHC M117....except it's not a straight-forward upgrade to put M119 heads on a 117 block. AMG Japan apparently did these conversions.

Sort of.

What they actualy did was fit the front timing cover, idler gear, and distributor from the late m117 onto an m119.960. Then tap and thread mounting holes into the front of the heads, in order to mount the alternator and power steering mountings.

The m119 variable valve timing sprockets were locked, and the twin distributors removed.

All these engines were bored and strocked to 6.0, and classed as m117/9.

I think this is a better engine than the hammer m117 quad cam, simply because it use's more standard parts.

It's something I would love to build for myself one day, I've already got a homeless 560 v8 with a dodgy metering head.
