w203 Coolant Visit Workshop. CODE P2518

Dear all,

would appriciate any advice on the following please:

car: w203 c220 cdi sport estate (2005)
issue: coolant visit workshop

summary: coolant level is OK, water pump OK....fan does not come on when temp reaches 100c and keeps rising unless engine is turned off.

this only tends to happen when the AC is on and when stuck in slow traffic.

have taken the car for a diagnostic test and has come back with CODE: P2518 [C6, 26, 18, A7]

also checked all fuses and they are all OK.

has anyone had the same problem - what would be the solution?

I had this on my C240. Knackered fan ECU. it is located on the bottom of the fan shroud and gets wet.

Bought a second hand fan from Dronsfields.
