Hi guys,

For reference i have a 54 plate C Class Coupe.

I was reading the forums last week and read a few things about C-Class's not getting to normal running temp, which i believe should be between 80-90 degrees

Tonight when i was driving home from work, i noticed that the engine temp didn't go above 60 degrees

I have also notice my air con doesn't seem as hot as it used to. Would this be related?

From what i gathered after reading a few posts, there is a thermometer that needs replacing!?

Advice on what the part is that i need and also maybe a how to on fitting it would be a great help.

Cheers guys

Mark

Is your heater running better now?

My W203 doesnt get over 60 when it used to be around 80-90c.

Im also getting the clicking behind the dash (stepper motor issue), so im trying to figure out if its related or not.

You have two separate issues. The low running temperature is undoubtedly caused by a faulty thermostat. The clicking is caused by the actuator arms on the ventilation flaps stepper motors either becoming detached, or the motors getting out of sync.

The former can range from an easy fix to a dash out job, depending on which one has failed. The latter may be possible to reset, but I can't remember how. Hopefully someone will be along to educate us.
