W203 slightly modified
I recently had my radio amp replaced on the W203. It was done for free.

Since I dont have a phone or GPS factory install I was wondering how the OEM setup works.

Would someone like to post the rear glass mounted setup for GSM and GPS.

I know that there is some fundamental difference between just having a radio and having GSM + GPS + radio ......

any suggestions ?

I am getting the EPC some time soon .... till then, I would like to find out more. :o

The GPS antenna is a separate antenna glued to the rightside upper corner of the window...this antenna is in no way connected with the radio antenna module...

The phone antenna is glued to the center top of the rear window...again - this antenna is in no way connected to the radio antenna module...

In cars with teleaid - the GPS antenna is connected to a splitter in order to wire up the teleaid control unit and the navigation system.

In cars (203) with teleaid there is an additional phone antenna to be found in the rear bumper and the roof antenna has an electrical switch to cut of useage for phone when the car gets into an accident so teleaid can take over the use of that antenna...

greetingz,
