Looks nice on AT .
Those front discs look a bit lipped to me , aren’t they crazy expensive on that model ? Might be a negotiation point .

1. Yes - thats a pretty good price for a car with that mileage.
2. The ride quality on these cars is known to be 'harsh', with 18's it'll be marginally better, but still hard on UK roads (I only have experience of 19's on my previous C63S) - I used to enjoy the race car feel of it, gave lots of confidence when turning in and reminded me I wasn't in a 'normal' car :)
3. Couldn't say!

I will add that you would be wise to do your due diligence when it comes to the history and servicing. Don't be fooled by 'Full Service History' from Mercedes, if the previous owner has skipped key service items before chopping in, they won't necessarily have been done by that dealer (ask me how I know!). The things you need to check that have been done at that age are diff oil change, transmission oil change and plugs. All of those should have been replaced at least once in that car's life - if they haven't, tread carefully or at the very least, be prepared to spend approx. £800 on the oil changes and another chunk on the plug changes (there are 16 of them remember).

Also, does it have the 'Performance Exhaust'? If it doesn't and you like noise, you might want to look for another car - makes a big difference to the sound of the pre-facelift cars!

Happy to answer any other questions you might have, I owned a 2017 C63S for 3 years (still miss it now!).

Thank you.

I will check in relation to the service history,

On the phone the salesman told me that they have completed an A service and replaced the front and rear brakes. The autotrader pictures may be from some weeks prior. In the video that they sent me the discs looked to be new.

No performance exhaust. No button on the centre console and I’ve also looked at the build sheet. If it’s not loud enough for me I can do something about it in time.

It will be louder than my current car in any case (Tesla) 😅

As for ride comfort, I have a Tesla 3 Performance with 20” wheels, so if anyone is familiar with how they ride (can be crashy) then you might be able to give me more a comparison. If it’s better than that it’ll be fine.

I’ve had an F10 M5 and W212 E63, I found both of those more than comfortable. They are of course from the next segment up, however.

I understand facelift W205 have a10% softer spring rate, I’d imagine they are a direct fit if necessary. But I am sure it will be fine.

I hated the ride on my S204 C250CDI on 17s (AMG trim) but found the S204 C63 firm yet comfortable during a short drive back to back. Both were 61 plate facelifts. Firm is fine, crashy isn’t, and I surmise the suspension on the proper AMG is of better quality.

Ah ok - the 205 is definitely not a crashy ride, just very firm - which was great. I went the other way, I have a 213 E63S and the ride is still plenty firm but so much more comfortable with it having air all round.

The 18’s will help for sure.

If you are coming from a model 3 P it will for sure be a very different experience. Up to 100mph it might not feel quite as urgent, but above that it’s in a different league. I have had a little tear-up with an m3p in my C63. Mine isn’t stock (thanks Anthony!) so she acquitted herself well. If you find it’s not quick enough for you I can share his contact details. 600bhp is the sweet spot with these imo ;)

Thanks for the insight.

I’m aware the 3P is certainly going to be quicker up to 60-80 and possibly a little more. Weighs about the same, power is about the same, but it’s AWD.

I had a Z4M (now that DOES have a hard ride) as a stablemate to the Tesla and while it’s a slower car it’s far, far more of an event to drive with a wonderful soundtrack (secondary cat delete). I often took it on my 70 mile commute despite it costing 6 gallons to do so, unless the weather was awful,

I am sure the C63 will be just as special, and as you say it has easy tuning potential unlike the NA BMW.
