The clk320 sport (w208) that my friend has suddenly broke down in my driveway this week. I have done a few tests and found there is good spark and the battery is strong and the engine is cranking quickly. However I have taken off the fuel supply pipe and there4 is no fuel coming throuhg. The fuel pump is also not working (I can't hear it with ignition on like I can in my c class). So I figure it's either the pump itself, the relay controlling it, a fuse or I have heard there is some kind off cut off switch that could be the cause. The car was run very, very low on fuel just before this happened, could that be the cause?
Any ideas would be very helpful.
Thanks
James

I haven't, that's a very good idea. Is it on the bottom of the fuel tank? Can you get at it from underneath?
Thanks

Just short the appropriate relay contacts. That should send 12v to the pump.

potential immobiliser fault?

Turns out it was the relay in the boot, the spare wheel was missing and things put in the boot had jolted it loose.
All sorted now
