W208 replacing number plate bulbs

?OK, can see 2 cross head machine screws on either side and a dome head something in the centre of the boot handle.

Screws easy (well not, having to use a drill and extractor on one) whats the metal dome head thing?

That goes through the boot lid and helps to hold on the trim.
You don't change the number plate bulbs from outside the car - you change the bulbs from inside the boot lid - you need to remove part of the boot lid trim.

Thanks for that, I'll stop drilling before I really destroy something, ought to get a book I suppose or ask first rather than guessing. DOH!
