W210 Climate Control display - no more light

Hello,
the climate control display does not longer light up when it is dark and I put on the lights of my car. The climate control itself is working fine, but it is the screen in the display and the buttons around it that remains dark.
Does anybody know if this could just be a matter of a fuse that has jumped, of it I can replace any light bulb(s) in the display itself?

Is that a car with automatic HVAC, a control unit like a single DIN radio? This one has one bulb that you can access if you remove the control unit first (removed with radio removal tools).

It is a fully automatic one. So, all I would have to do is remove the unit and replace one bulb ... hmm... I guess I will be up to that:bannana:!

Get the bulb from a Mercedes parts dept. so you get the correct one. Too hot & your dash will melt / go on fire!

They might even whip the CC unit out for you if they're not too busy.
