Hi,

my car has sprung a diesel leak from one of the two connectors that go into the engine near the main fan cowling, it's the top one of the two and looks like the pipe goes back to what I assume is the fuel filter.

It looks like the plug isn't holding in anymore and it's spraying diesel all over everywhere! Could anyone tell me is it possible to change the plug or should I change the whole line back? Would you know the mercedes part no or description? Is it main dealer only?

Many thanks for you help

Jon

Main dealer only and replace all of them. They are only available as the complete pipe.

ive just replaced two if mine, one of them being the one that your having issues with, the one your after costs £16 from mbd. i dont know if you can get a copy part, but £16 from dealer will sort your issue out. thats if it is that one of corse. is the clip completly knackerd ? if not you could just replace the o ring inside

Yep clip split- do you know the part no by any chance?

Thanks!!

Just go into your dealer and give them your chassis number and they will look it up for you. No need for the part number

Replace ALL of the pipes too.

So sorry what do you mean by all the pipes? Obviously the one from the leak and clip any others?

hi jon viola
if you do replace all the pipes ( clear ones ) take care tighterning the bolt that surports two of them, located bottom left of high pressure pump, it has a bracket that holds them in place, its very easy i found to over tightern it and ends up threding. it doesnt need to be torqed down to much.

Great!

Thanks for all your help!
