w210 facelift mirrors on W202 C-Class - Advice please.

Hi guys

I am looking at puttin on the facelift w210 e-class mirrors with the indicators in. I have seen a few sets on ebay, and I was wondering if the european version of the mirrors are any different to the UK ones because they drive on the left?

I have tried to email Steve in NL, but dont seem to get a reply. Any idea how much he charges for a pair of them? I have seen hm charge around US$400 in the US, but are there any differences in the mirrors?

ps. if i get the folding ones for a future upgrade, do i have to wire the folding bit up right away or can it wait till i upgrade it?

Steve is your best source . . don't know what his current prices are - probably best to ask !

You will have a choice of blinking / blinking & folding / blinking & auto-dimming / blinking folding & auto-dimming !!!

Dimming will only work if you already have an auto-dimming Rear View Mirror (or plan to fit one ).

The difference with the european ones, is that the LH mirror (drivers) is wired for dimming (on dimming ones only, of course!) and that the UK ones will have the driver side (RH) wired for this.

The 210 mirror connectors will not fit as standard onto your 202, but if you buy from Steve he normally switches the 210 connectors for 202, so they will just plug in. The blinking function requires two wires on each side - linked in to the cabling going to the tail lights.

Folding requires quite a lot of wiring if you don't have it already, and a switch to do the actual folding function next to the mirror adjustment joy-stick. ; certainly not impossible to add though.

your looking at £300 for the dimming and folding 210 mirrors, then £30 in pins and plugs, £10 for folding switch and £35 for the folding loom.

I have found a pair of mirrors on ebay.de for 250 euro (in silver too)
I have mailed steve but got no reply? whats his address? maybe I got it wrong?

I really just want the blinking mirrors with folding I suppose (for future upgrade). I just wonder if they are heated?

If that price is for folding & blinking, then sounds good. Make sure that they ship to the UK . . some of those germany eBay auctions often state "Post to Germany only" . . . although many can be persuaded to send to UK - at cost.

I just got a pair of folding blinking W210 mirrors which I plan to install in my 94C280 can you assist me in finding out what parts do I need to install them in my car. Part nos for the connectors, Folding mirror wire harness (W210 or W202) etc....
