W210 Mobile Phone Identification

Hi, Since getting my car in February I have been trying to find out which mobile phone will fit the cradle. The previous owner never used it and could not remember, my local dealer was addamant a Nokia 6310 would fit (no luck there) and the guy from carphonewarehouse who came out to have a look did not know either.

The car is a 2000 E320 CDi. It has the option listed 317 mobile phone, fully integrated in centre console.

Please take a look at the picture and let me know any phones I should try.

Hi Try a Nokia 6210 Thats what my car takes and it works fine with command and linguatronic.

Did the 6310 fit but not work ?

Certainly doesn't look like a Nokia 6210 / 6310. Maybe a Siemens / Sony Ericsson ?

Have you got a close up pic of the connector / pins ?

The nokia did not fit at all the connector is totally differrent. Here is a better pic of the actual plug.

Cradle Part Numbers

OK the story continues. I have now removed the cradle from the car. Both the cradle and the mount have mercedes part numbers on.

Can someone look up the number and let me know if it lists the phone which will fit?

Mount: A 210 823 0211
Cradle: A 220 820 0351

Its the Nokia 3110 - was fitted before they switched to the 6110.

The good news is you can just change the controller and the cradle to the 6310i type - the wiring is the same. I did so on my CLK55 of the same age
