Hey guys

Car 2003 E320cdi Avantgarde

Thinking of getting Child seats for little one, since it is Mercedes I cant disable passenger airbag.

Question:
1. How to know if my car equipped with Automatic Child Seat Recognition (AKSE)
2. How does this system work? Just put MB Child seat on passenger seat and Airbag turns off?
3. Does my car has occupancy seat sensor as well?

Airbag can be disbaled via SDS (Illegal and dubious I think). MB child seats are equipped with transponders which are sometimes sold in ebay separately, and can be put somewhere near the seat so they'll tell the car child seat is fitted (also would say dubious solution). So if front seat is only solution, I wouldn't think anything else than genuine MB seat (though it is originally some other brand like Britax manufactured).

I dont have any special type of car seat, just some narnia one. When my daughter is buckled into the front seat it automatically disables the airbag as the light tells me so
