W211 Comand Downgrade software

It is very easy to enable video in motion if you have the correct equipment:) However, we will not enable it for any customer as we believe it is dangerous and it is against the law.
A very responsible move and it also stops anyone from accusing you of activating this setting, if they have a crash, or kill someone.

regards
John

With a Basic if memory serves me right, but still good call like i said a dealer wont do it and i guess that applies to most other places such as yourselves also.

Ok thanks at all:p
Usually this forum will be extremely helpful and PLEASE do not be put off by the negative sounding replies you ahve received.

REG THE MAIN QUESTION - you can't downgrade your software

ps. in the future, go to the other forum (US) where people will help you, not just scream on you for what you would like to have in your car, honestly if someone oask you for something - please answer the question...
:)

A very useful second post, although the same reply was there on an earlier post already. The last message at this thread was a year and a half ago though, hopefully the OP was waiting for you.

It may be irritating when forum members give their opinions on the subject instead of answering the exact question but in my opinion the one who needs help, has to accept different opinions and some advice that goes against his preferences. The one asking information cannot afford telling which exact answers are allowed (he would not need to ask if he can give the full list of allowed replies [note, "she" is intentionally excluded here, this appears to be a problem for us men only]). I understand that you were talking for the original poster, not about the replies given to you which makes this a bit different.

As you can see, if you start complaining how others provide their help, you get impolite replies back (sorry about that).

Edited: since the thread got woken up and already going off topic, may I ask why so long time ago since the last post from glojo?

Hi

I just found this forum and spent a few hours reading posts and really see the different between UK and US forum.
Dont take it in a bad way of telling you guys but on the US forum we can really help each other, if someone asks for something (dvd in motion for example), then I assume that this person is aware of the possible danger that can have. Anyways, it is nice that we can really see something different, by the way, do you have separate sections for each model of a car, for example w210, w211, w212?
thx

sorry for the interuption with this question...

Thats ok Hubert ...

You will see from other posts ( by RBYCC ) who is a US based member that he has only bothered to post on this ( a UK ) forum with his project ... because we are so helpful.

In the UK however , we have differing morals ( in all walks of life ) from those in the US ;)

I personally would stick to whichever forum you find the most helpful ( doesn't seem to be ours :( )

No there are not seperate car catergories on this forum.

Welcome on board.

Amazon has one too. £948.89 and camerabox for £900

glojo must find these prices very attractive, compared to those he probably found at the time he asked this: 16-06-2008, 12:02 PM. I'd be glad to know if he has been waiting this long for the advice (honestly, I'm referring to my question at my previous post in this thread but don't want to stress it too much if there is something behind it that I'm not aware).
