W211 power folding mirrors and switch

Hi,

It could be just the core mechanisms, I'm fine with transferring the housing and glass, as long as they work. I would need it shipped (posted?) to Texas, USA.

I'm not sure what the market for these is in the UK, but I'd be willing to part with £150 for both, plus the cost to send them here. Could go higher if they are complete units in excellent condition.

If the price seems low, make an offer, as I said I dont know the market on them. If it seems excessive, then sell them to me and I guess you have a good deal.

welcome - there are a few things you'll need to check, and probably better people than me to confirm them for you! I recently upgraded my 211 to folding mirrors, I just needed the switch for the driver's door, and two folding frames.

I have one folding frame on eBay which might suit you (Mercedes E class folding right mirror frame A2038106293 - eBay (item 140335747749 end time Aug-02-09 05:56:45 PDT)), but you need to consider what your current door controllers will support (auto-dimming mirrors, memory positions, folding, etc.

The driver side door controller sends the folding signal to the passenger door, so you may need to change both door controllers. You will certainly need someone with a STAR diagnosis computer to enable the folding feature in the door controllers.

Alternatively I know that Steve in MBenzNL regularly travels to the US and does retro-fit jobs including this one...
