W211 Sat Nav/DVD command module upgrade

Hi all,

My 2004 E-class estate has just the 6-CD changer in the dash and a radio.

I see on ebay a few W211 units featuring Sat Nav and DVD players but my friend says I need all sorts of mounting stuff in the boot and I also need buy the sat nav disc for around £160.

Basically I don't want to spend X amount on ebay then find I have to spend a lot more on stuff that hasn't been included.

Has anyone done this upgrade and any thoughts please?

If they are NTG 2.5 units you should be able to get away with a cable kit from Comand online (Alfie on here), plus some coding if you want the instrument binnacle to be able to show the route.

I have contacted Command online. For anyone else thinking of making this switch, the until is around £600 secondhand plus £200 for fitting and setting up.
