w211 & w203 CDI's thirsty for oil

Hi there,
I did it all for the E320CDI nearly as lupi advised..
lifted the car, remooved the covers, both had to be remooved to reach the plug. After I drained the oil, discovered I was sold the wrong filter :wallbash: the only solution was to put it all back and go get the right one (motor factors adviced me to put the new oil in, fit the old filter and go back to them for the right filter... I found it a bit strange). So I did it all again the next day. It's all fine... and just to make sure I had the right ammount of oil in, I filled 5l, then checked in the menu and was told to add 1.5l, that makes it 6.5l of oil altogether. By the way I did change all 3 seals on the filter fitting. Also replaced oil cap, as oil discovered arround it. Thanks for the help.

regarding W203 220CDI oild problem. I had it looked at and told that probably my turbo was fine all along... just some mechanics find it easy to say turbo gone, thats where your oil is..
Anyway another mechanic today gave me his version of the problem. I will try to explain... it;s in inlet manifold, there are 4 valves for idling engine... them valves are very loose and they are leaking. I was told to get another manifold from the scrap.

Apart from this he found rusty brake pipes, front lower arm needs replacing, also the body was resprayed 10months ago and the rust is everywhere: arcs, bottom of doors, boot lid under the number plate...
As I'm on a good terms with the mechanic, he adviced to say bye bye to this baby.

sell it.

Any ideas?

I was thinking about w202 C250TD or C220 CDI leaning towards C250 (maybe more robust)
