Would you let me know the part numbers/source of the av plugs - I have the 12 pin sockets too. Also the pins to use for video and audio.

I notice the black and white sockets are different - any preference for one or the other?

There are three unused sockets on your tuner. You're interested in the two that are the same size. One is AV1 and one is AV2.
But the place I got them from no longer stock them. So not sure where to get them from.

No, i am stuck on where to buy/what plugs i need: I know they are 12 pin MQS type but cannot find a source. The two plug housings are different so there should be at least two models.

I am also stuck on what pins to use!

If you pm me your email address I can email you a pin out diagram. You might be able to open the tuner and solder wires directly onto the back of the AV sockets.

Are you sure your tuner has these type of connections? I thought most of them were manufactured with proper RCA phono sockets.

well not sure at the moment as only collected the car on wednesday but will be looking into it this week thanks for the email it will be handy to have incase i cannot find this thread when i come to do the upgrade

Hope you do not mean "video in motion" you will get a lot of responses for that, negative that is, conversion to digital I am sure somebody will be along to give advice.

Sad story, but here we go.
I purchased an aftermarket tuner from ebay for my S320, It was made to fit Range Rovers and Rover 75's, so would need some snipping and soldering to match the cables.
Not a problem, as there are cable diagrams around.
Now the sad bit!
I totaled the car before I got round to fitting it!
So I now have a Digital TV Tuner, but no car to fit it into!
I can hear you weeping from here!
Good news is that it is now going begging, so if anyone would like to make a donation to
a sad old man's Christmas fund, I can get it posted asap.
I paid £85 for it, but let me know what you think.
