What do you want to know?

Just sent you a PM.

If anyone is after a new ML or Pre facelift A Class, we've been given a higher margin from today, so can do pretty huge amounts off them. PM me if anyone wants me to look into a deal

Hi JBD,

I took delivery of my C300 hybrid earlier today. It's a company leased vehicle so arrived on a transporter. On opening the boot I discovered a little compressor and an injector kit but no jack.

I want to remove the wheels this weekend and seal and polish them ahead of winter. Can I purchase a scissor jack and wheel brace for the W205? If so, do you happen to know the part number and price please?

Many thanks.

I would buy a trolley jack and a proper length wheel brace and leave in the garage, (maybe an axel stand too... ) as you may struggle with the tiny brace and will never need it out on the road with no spare wheel ....

Hi, I've just taken delivery of a CLS 220d Shooting Brake. What do you think to future residuals on this model? I think I had a decent deal in the end, paid just over £38k and it is a Premium Plus with a couple of extras (360 camera, privacy glass, Designo paint job). I hear rumours they might be canning the Shooting Brake so interesting to see how that'll affect things.

Dead pleased with the car though, such a smooth ride.

It's really hard to say. The new CLS is a while off and it doesn't appear that they have confirmed that the SB will be canned. You got a big chunk off the list price, so I wouldn't worry about it too much at the moment.

JBD do you know why the 250d is no longer available on certain models e.g. CLS? I thought it was due to it not being Euro 6 compliant but that's clearly not the case as it's still used in the W/S205 and GLC.

Suspect it may be down to retro fitting Bluetec equipment isn't cost effective?

The GLC and C Class are MRA platform, so are lighter and more efficient. They are cutting down the specs on all E class models, as they're on runout, so it does make financial sense for them to reduce engine options.

Agreed. And I suppose if they're going to reduce engine options they may as well keep the greenest ones as that'll go some way towards reducing their average emissions output.

Hi JBD,

I am considering a choice between the new C Class C200 Sport and Amg, both petrol and with automatic gearbox, which would you recommend, would you select Amg styling over the Sport or is it a purely personal preference.

Thanks

Also worth checking out www.drivethedeal.com I always find them cheapest for Mercs. They want £31,990.70 for the Sport, £33,355.38 for the AMG Line.

Or carwow, I am picking up mine next week the C200 AMG line with every single options (obsidian black, cranberry red leather, dark ash wood, air suspension etc... so everything except 360 camera (too much delay ) and Privacy Glass (missus said no :dk: and the caravan stuff)
Total on the road £34.5k.

My local dealer wouldn't believe the discount and explained that it needed to be shipped to Northern Ireland so they could only get 8% discount...

Anyway next tuesday the trip home will cost me 250£ including a possible full tank just before I arrive.

It's just styling and a slightly harder ride. It's purely personal preference. I'd always have the AMG, but I'm a young man!
