What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Do you know what’s next yet?
Rob, I’ve just relocated to Cyprus. I was planning to import the car but there was too much red tape for me to carry it out without paying import tax. I decided to let it go and start again over here.
I couldn’t be bothered with the tyre kickers so I got a reserve quote from CarWow and it wasn’t too bad, around £2,000 more than trade value. I gave the CarWow auction a go and surprisingly it reached £7,000 more than trade value which is probably more than I would have got private, so I’m happy.

Quote Thursday evening, auction Friday morning, sold Friday evening, job done.

To answer your question………….No, but Cyprus have some amazing countryside roads through the mountains and valleys!!!

Wow, congratulations on the move and for getting such a quick and easy deal on your car. Wishing you the very best for your new life in the sun!

Managed to lock the key fob inside the locked boot of the S204:wallbash:
Luckily next door neighbour gave me a lift to Waitrose where the missus was working to pick up the spare fob.
As she hardly ever uses my car, the fob is now going to be kept safely indoors should I be as stupid to repeat myself.
Did that a few years ago in the SL whilst I was approx 180 miles away. Cost me £180 for a locksmith to get into the boot 😡

Breaking into these cars is pretty easy....especially up to 204 212 age cars. Google is your friend.....no need to pay anything. Obviously Im not posting anything on here though!!

Don't know if it's applicable on your vehicles, but fwiw I brought a spare key blade (the one that fits in my Mercedes key module, for if the battery is dead etc ) & secreted that in a key safe "somewhere" under my Mercedes.#
My spare Key is now kept hidden inside the vehicle itself.
As well as enabling me to have an emergency key at the vehicle itself (in the case of a situation like you experienced), it has been useful when I have been out with friends & we have had different agendas. I just give them my spare key, and we both have access to he vehicle, and no one is left standing in the rain waiting for the keyholder to return.
