What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Had the oil and filter changed today - massive saving on MB and Indy prices.
The mechanic also noted a rattle to the oblong pipe leading to air filter and fixed that.
Genuine MB oil, filter and gaskets used.
Using whom you trust most at the price point you are prepared to pay is always the right approach for servicing and repairs, regardless of whether it’s a main dealer, independent marque specialist, fast fit chain, small general garage or DIY.

DIY for me once my service plan runs out , oil n filter changes will cost roughly £40.

I trust this bloke that came to our home as I've used him before and we chat as he works on the car.
I trust him 100% more than the MB lot I've used.
I also saved hundreds of UK Sterling.

40 quid, that's great. I considered buying an oil extractor pump but decided against it
What oil and filter did you use and how many litres - if you don't mind me asking.

I bought a set of the stuff I needed from MB

Topped up the oil while i was waiting for my son to come out of the sea..was not that low but I thought why not since it was in the boot. When I got back to the accommodation my son noticed a trail of oil drips on the ground. Somehow I managed to only catch one half of the oil filler cap in the hole...meaning oil had sprayed back over the engine as I drove the five miles back and made a mess of the engine. My own silly fault and I would not have cared if I'd not spent a couple of hours decreasing and jet washing the engine and three undertrays....got to do it all again now. Never done that before.... and before you say it...yes I am a donut! Hopefully they won't mind the extra oil stain in the car park!

Something like this.

Stuff happens even to the best of us.

Reminds me of Frank Spencer tbh.

He made me laugh/smile - great show.

Stuff happens and can happen to anyone no matter how careful you are, it is just life.

I'm very careful and I've left my car in drive in a car park and stepped out to have a look to ensure it was within the lines - but as on level area slow-moving and noted almost as I started to step on - Since 2003 I have had 2 c class MB's. This GLE I got new years ago thankfully puts the car in PARK as soon as the driver's door is opened:)

Stuff happens
