Gave it a ruddy good wash and polish. I was apprehensive (the dreaded first wash) but honestly for an 8 year old car it’s tidy like. No stone chips or dinks. Whoever’s had it has looked after it well.

Took one for a cross country drive. We had Baby D with us so we needed to use something with rear seats seats but an opening panoramic roof mean t that we could enjoy the wonderful warm weather and blue skies. Lovely day to enjoy driving.

Speaking of which, this weekend's task is to upgrade the Beemer's totally woeful ambient lighting with some new pcbs from Germany.
It involves taking the door cards off, so hours of endless amusement ahead.

Erm...well. By the time I'd sorted the really annoying buzz in the Leon (and stuck a few Elastoplasts on), it was beer o'clock. There's always next weekend; and I've got the new "M" decals to replace the faded pad printed ones on the blue Brembo calipers to fit too. So many jobs, so little time...

Went to a local car show this morning, only the shows 3rd time, lovely day and loads of cars there today including the pictures below, more mercedes were there (including a R232 SL43) but these are the only ones I took.

God, detailing is dull. As my wife's away in my car I'm having a go at her Fiat 500. I washed it, did a quick iron decontamination, dried it, skipped the clay bar and went straight for a coat of polish. I've done the roof, bonnet and hatch and am SO BORED.

Oh well, 30 mins more and I can get the DA out to see is the fine cutting compound I've bought will take out surface scratches. That's what I really want to know as I want to do that to my E Class.
