MOT time for my little old Vito ( not today actually, Thursday).
Washed her, in preparation, and went over all the usual's as you do (in expectation of the usual PASS with begrudging advisorys that express the tester's frustration at having to give a pass to a ratty old 270k miles van).
FAIL. !!!
A broken rear spring (these dam things seem to be a "consumable" on Vitos, and it's not like it gets laden. Mostly almost empty & occasionally with a motorbike or two & trackday kit).
Oh, and a corroded brake pipe. To be fair, that was a good spot on the part of the tester. I'd missed it (and I had/do check). In mitigation, it was located where it would be much easier to see on a ramp than when I'm laying on my crawler)
So yesterday I was sorting the brake pipe, and ordering 2x more springs.!
Email this morning from the courier to say the springs will be delivered today, should be a swift return for my re-test.!
