Hi everyone I just bought myself a c320 cdi sport in black its gorgeous and I'm really happy with it.

It has the pop up screen sat nav system and I was just wondering what this port is for in the PIC

I'm hoping i can buy some sort of lead to plug my ipod into it or is it for a telephone I have not got a clue

Please help

It is the UHI connector for Comfort Phone, it will let you connect a phone cradle to the phone system.

In a W204 you dont need to connect anything to it, you can pair a phone directly to the headunit via bluetooth. See your user manual it will explain how to do it. Or www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com

If you get a cradle it will charge your phone. Think thats about it.

It will also use the car's aerial giving better signal reception.

Congrats on the new car!

And, the phone crades will transfer contact info properly, whereas the W204 NTG4 (pre MY2012 facelift) doesn't do a good job of contact transfer from iPhone.

If you have an iPhone and want music, you need to
a) determine if your car has Media Interface or iPod kit, if not retrofit one of them. This is done by looking in the glovebox for a small rectangular socket, or a hanging down iPod lead.
b) Add iPhone phone cradle with audio output lead
c) Add cable from armrest to Media Interface port, or iPod controller

I find that the external antenna connection by using the iPhone cradle is very good for getting better signal on the iPhone which can be a bit dodgy. Massive difference on iPhone 3, good difference in weak areas with 4/4S

Talk to alfie at Comand Online Ltd and he can talk you through it
