Wheel Options - What would you Choose?

Nope, sorry mate still not working..

Sorry, I know what happened I re-organised my Photobucket images into folders and haven't gone back to update the old links.

Try these images (from before I lowered it with the Bilstein B12 kit):

I don't like the look of the monoblocks (although they're great wheels) they just don't look right on a 203 or 211

The originals are spot on but I want something different for the summer and the originals will go for refurb and then be fitted with winter tyres.

I really like the AMG IV twin spokes as well, again an option on my car, so very 'correct'.

Reading this rules out my question:-
"Can I have your old Adharaz wheels whilst I get mine refurb'd"

For the record I do like the wheels A-Avantgarde suggests, the 18" AMG IIIs. The way the spokes extend to the edge of the rim works for me and keeps to the look of the Adharaz, which I always think look bigger than their 17" suggests.

I also vote for tints, had my estate done at 30% for the B pillar back.

And this is what I ended with  Keeping it OEM :D

Why not start your own thread, more likely to get responses as people will see what it's about, rather than hidden in this thread??

The AGM III's has a classic look to it,I would not mind to have a set on my 2007 W203 estate:

Excellent set of wheels whitenemesis. Like you (and after going nowhere in my W203 for 2-3 weeks last winter) I'm thinking of getting another set of wheels and sticking winter tyres on my Adharaz wheels as we have done for the wifes SLK. Problem is the manual advises 225 winter tyres all round so I'm not sure what to do about the rears as they are obviously 245's and it probably wouldn't work sticking 225's on these rims. I suppose there is no problem going for the staggered set-up with winter tyres although you are porbably not going to get so much benefit with the 'carlos fandango' 245s on the back.

moosehead, I was advised to go for 245/45 on the rears. There are some very wide winter tyres out there! It's the tread and compound that make them work.

cost of second hand AMG alloy wheels

any idea how much a second hand set of AMG alloy wheels for a CLS would cost ?

I presume you mean 245/40's? I must admit I haven't looked to see if this size winter tyre is available. The only problem I have is that we spend quite a lot of time in the French Alps and to date I haven't taken my car because of the tyre issue. The other problem is you can't get chains on the 245's and even with winter tyres you will still need them at times.

A solid selection there i think, what sizes are those btw ?

I think the 5 spoke is a bold statement on that styling, and seems to sit better with the design concept, i've been looking at this lately too for a C350 Coupe, and have sort of narrowed down the 18" rims i like

Although going away from the 5 spoke design, these i really like (although a 2 tone colour option might be nice).....
Brabus Monoblock VI - Brabus Polished Silver

Those all come in at a similar price (not counting that the Brabus ones need adaptors) except for the Mercedes 5 Twin Spoke, which are about half the price, and a very reasonable price it is too.

If i was to decide to stick with 17" rims, i actually quite like the original sport wheels for the coupe (although i have seen a LOT with kerb rash on the spokes because of the design....

But like i said to start with, i think you made a solid choice there :thumb:
