Wheeler Dealers New Series 5

no import duty. within the eu. just the mot which will need the lamps converting and the change of plates

They made a profit for once!

I enjoyed the first two episodes. I actually liked that SL too, really liked the colour which considering it was brown I was surprised at. I liked the wheels too from a distance, but up close they weren't the best. The chrome lips were great, but not keen on the centres in the close ups. Must be getting old as although I didn't object to the wheels as much as they did, I agree the originals did have a just right look to them.

Good light entertainment.

The series is good for a laugh, i always wonder how they say they make a small profit on the odd occasion when they never tell you how many hours of labour they haven't added up

I do keep watching it though...:D

If you missed the first episode (like me) it's repeated on Saturday @ 9pm

BLOODY HELLL...Mike seems to have gained a few pounds......if this is the way forward, then he better stop making a "profit"
Too many pie's mr Brewer :bannana: he he

Just one bit of rust in one area of the whole car??!!

I do watch the show but, to me, it's clear that they don't tell you the whole story with the cars they work on.

What was the car that Mike drove over to Germany in?
I kept thinking it was an M Class, but couldn't quite make it out for sure.

Mike's vehcle was a SSANG YONG REXTON, apparantly it shares a lot of MB parts (similar 5 cyclinder diesel engine and running gear).

Never even heard of this brand.
Just had a quick look on their website. Seems MB invested some money in them some years ago.

Don't think I've ever seen one of their dealerships anywhere.

Mr shr,
I only know about the car because i pulled up at a filling station in Eaglesham a while ago and thought i saw ML Mercedes going very cheap, and then i saw the name REXTON.
not too bad looking from the back/3 quarter angle but i think the front is a bit lame looking...and inside you get what you pay for...

Just had a quick look for some used ones on Autotrader.
Don't look much cop to be honest.

Another Episode on tonight for anyone interested.

Tonight, I really felt sorry for poor ED !!!!! That Lotus was just nothing but a pile of poo and too much hard work !!!

If it was me I would have told Mike to go and get lost when he brought it around . :):):)

How much in Labour would it have cost so far.

Full interior taken out
Engine Taken out
Exhaust off

and nothing yet put on / fixed etc..

Bit of a joke really....but I'm still watching it :)

Yea removing that complete interior seems like right bugger to get out and now hes just taken out the engine too

project kahn did one up at the motor show.

22 inch rims quad exhaust lowered suspension and bespoke leather.

it is great value for money as it is priced like a mini SUV but the size of the disco. It depreciates like a stone though but it has so much kit you could not possibly put anything in it apart form a tv that is optional.
not sure if i would buy one new though

I enjoyed the Esprit episode & am eternally grateful that removing the binnacle on a W126 is infinitely simpler than that ! ..then again, as I'm the same height as Edd China I don't see an Esprit being on my shopping list anytime soon......
