Your top three driving pet hates...

On the M25 going anti clockwise last night near junction 7 - accident / lanes 1 & 2 closed on overhead signs and speed restriction of 60, 50, 40. Lane closures identified by large red X.

Obviously not enough warning as trucks , vans , coaches , cars continue to use both lanes whilst undertaking those in lanes 3 & 4 at speed. Realisation dawns when cones , police vehicles and large arrow sign appears ahead of cars all over the road and some in a serious state.
That must be the time for the dim witted to wake up and attempt to force their way across the carriage way into lanes 3/4 which are not moving. One halfwit forces his way in which causes car ahead of us to swerve towards lane 4. Sadly said car also takes similar action, ignoring the car alongside, which ends up heading for the central reservation barriers with nowhere else to go.

End of a long day and bingo - another accident in the middle of the first one. Idiots is too kind a description by far!

Any wonder that costs for car insurance are as high as they are.

3. SUV driver with dip beam set too high anywhere near me

I heartily agree with all three. Cannot understand why so many SUVs seem determined to dazzle. I have always been circumspect about dealing with high beam drivers following me since I put two fingers up to the rear view mirror when followed by one. It was a police car. Got pulled over. Couldn't find anything wrong though, thank goodness.

It's normally HID kits that do that as proper factory xenon should have self levelling systems to ensure they don't dazzle.

This is my first post but it seems a good place to start
My top 3 are
1:People who quickly pull out in front of you then slow down
2:Buses that don’t indicate when stopped in a bus stop, then just pull out as your passing
3:And finally Nissan mirca drivers in general

1. People who cannot understand roundabouts which have multiple lanes just moving from lane to lane with no indicating (Normally taking a more racing line rather than going around correctly). I think in general if one of them hit you they'd blame you as I truly think these people don't even realise they are doing anything wrong.

2. People who just sit in the outside lane on a 2 - 3 lane road when there's nothing on the left at all. Normally wait a little while and then if they move over its either an undertake of flashing my lights at them and eventually horn until they move over. I'm un-decided which is the best approach as neither is really right however they should learn to drive in the correct lane!

3. People who cannot understand 2 lanes which need to merge and insist on driving right close to the car in front and refusing to let you in. When I'm old and I don't have long to live I'd consider getting some huge but crappy vehicle and ramming their cars out of the way. OK probably not but honestly if neither lane has right of way who's fault would it be if it was your turn to merge in? I'd think theirs. Would just amuse me if they had to pay out on their insurance for their selfishness.

Able-bodied people that park in spaces allotted for disabled drivers. Really p!sses me off. They have no shame.

Why do people 'hate' Nissan Micra drivers here?

That has me puzzled as well. My wife used to have an old Micra. It looked like an upturned bathtub but it was a nippy little motor and great fun to to drive. I admit to believing that my missis is a very good driver, by the way. Perhaps the Micra-hating posters encountered it when I was driving? :D

It's daft to hate the driver of a particular type of car.

Except Range Rover (Un)Sport drivers.
And Seat Leon FR drivers.

When I was last car shopping I went and looked at Range Rovers as I've never owned a 4x4 before, the bloke kept pushing me to try the Sport as he said it drives more like a car than the normal one. I ****ing hated it, only drove it for 10mins and just said sorry mate, was an absolute dog.

What's the issue with dogs?

I use to be a Nissan Micra driver and I have to admit the 7 months I was, I drove like a tit.

Still  but that's probably because I used to drive a Micra.
