zapped by the fuzz on the way home

not got my MB yet! two weeks of agony.. and driving around in my kiddies car.. (which is for sale! will be on ebay tomorrow!)

but good to know.. thanks! :)

ahh robert, do you have issues..?

maybe as the driver of a mundaneo you should seek solace among other people who can't really afford a proper car?
[...]

I'd say that is pretty much out of order. Rob is entitled to his opinions without having to be abused. The rather condescending tone of your reply was quite unnecessary.

And in the end, it was indeed your decision to speed, so take it on the chin. No need for that kind of tactic.

Is my car proper enough to your liking?

hey i'm only playing.. but robs tone has been to make out that my honest and quite valid post was not 'worthy' , hey its just a bit of fun.. knowone take this THAT seriously do they? (otherwise we would spiral out of control like US sites do!)

I'll give as good as I get... :p

As for your ride..

tis sweet! :D

Sure I speed, sure I go past vans with cameras. If I get caught it's my own stupid fault, I wouldn't bleat about it on a forum. I'd wait and see what turned up

As for my car, largely irrelevant to you. And your personal jibes towards me (you may note I have made none to you) are amusing

You have posted in the correct section with a good question,, you have just got to sit the next couple of weeks out and see.
ditto to malcolms comment..this happened to me a few years ago on the M54 in traffic and pc plodd was on the bridge i was in a flow of traffic and we all were a bit over the 70 mph all clocked but like you i worried for months but luckly never heard anything...SO FINGERS CROSSED regards jon

he or maybe a she not sure which getting a slk320 52 plate i think mentioned it in a previous thread hope it help regards jon

Cheers Jon,

In Jasper Blue too , that's a nice colour .... running an MX6 ATM , Those MX6's were good cars in their day , 2.5 V6 ...

hey Howard, MX6 was a missed opportunity by many.. such a great engine, great look..

i've spent a LARGE fortune on mine and i'll be sorry to see her go, but its about time i grew up and had a proper car... as lovely as the mx6 is, its too... you know.. supra, scooby... that kinda motor...

i don't want that any more.. while an slk is hardly blending into the masses.. its a different ride and feeling all together..

i've enjoyed a 2.5 v6

but i know i'll enjoy a 3.2 v6 more!

:)

I had a little CRX VTEC before my merc .... the proper wedge shaped one , not the hairdresser variant with the lift off roof .... ;)

Not quite such a step upwards as your're making , but i still miss that car .... :(

1.6 litre , 160 bhp , 8k redline ..... Jap cars of that era ( H,J,K reg ) were just the best !

Mrs D's mom had a K-reg MX6 new. I think she kept that car longer than any other. She loved it - favourite of a very long list of very nice cars.

Mrs D's dad chopped it in for an Impreza as a surprise. She was not impressed. :D

The title of this thread reminds me of one of the few jokes I can remember.

Policeman: Have you been picked up by the fuzz before?
Lady of the night: No but I've been swung around by the **** a couple of times.

:D

Back to topic...

Might have been an ANPR (Automatic Numberplate Recognition) camera van i.e. not recording speed... but unlikely you would get a ticket for an indicated 80-85 anyway TBH... 14 days to issue the NIP assuming the car is registered to you correctly... wait and see

Even in roadworks?

Still don't understand the point of the post? Have I missed the question? You just said "thoughts?" - that isn't a question, despite the question mark.

If your question is what happens next, then play the waiting game <yawn>

For me the point of the post was on Sunday 17 Feb. I was driving on the M11 and made very sure I was doing exactly 70. Of course the camera van was not there to reward me for my efforts. :)

since then i've taken a little more care.. unlike certain other 'prestige' car drivers who pass me @ 95+ .... of course, no camera van this time..

oh and having some women tailgate me @ 75ish, shaking her head at me and zooming off soon as i just about pull over...

theres driving fast and there is poor driving.. but thats another debate all together!
