My sppedo needle sticks at Zero and then starts to move after a short delay.

Any Ideas? Can it be lubed?

Try www.speedofixer.co.uk

I am sure the speedo is electronic (no Cable) so no it can't really be lubed. Take the cluster apart and see if anything is amiss. Only take it apart if you are competant.

Si, try smacking the top of dash, if the needle pop back up you probably have the common problem of the needle sticking to the stop pins. The paint on the pins becomes tacky/sticky causing the problem this will be evident when you inspect the pins, you will be able to feel the stickiness

The solution is to remove the cluster and open it, clean all the pins and needles (where the contact the pin) and fit tinny rubber sleeves over the pins, not sure if you can get them from the dealer.

I had the same problem but did it the lazy way and just scraped the paint off the pin stops and cleaned the needle, problem never came back.

You may still be right but this is the easiest thing to try first.

Many thanks chaps, I have the lower cover underneath the Dash off so may give it a go.
