I'm advertising this for a friend of mine with too many cars. Recently he's bought another Mercedes (car #8!) which he hopes will combine the virtues of the three Mercs he already has & plans to sell, this C240, a W202 C180 Estate & a quite rare W201 190 with carb, not a 190E.
The first owner, an elderly lady who is a friend of my friend, bought this car new in 04.1999. My friend bought it from her husband in 10.2008. These have been the only owners. Both of these owners are in their 70's. My friend used to own a garage & is mechanically adept & sympathetic

The run runs well without any issues, everything works as it should. It "pulls like a train." He has downbadged it to a C180 to disinterest potential joyriders.
Like nearly all W202s it suffers from the usual rust patches that appear over time & has some had some bumps & scrapes. Some of these have been patched. I'd say the car passes the 10 yard test & that it looks better in the pix than in the flesh.
