What benefit is from blocking EGR? Will it pas MOT like that?

3 benefits.

1. I wont be sucking oily sooty crap back into my manifold possibly blocking them and causing things like broken swirl flaps.

2. my fuel economy goes up

3. my Exhaust gas temp goes down.

yes it will pass mot as on a diesel they dont test for nOx which is what the EGR reduces when in operation.

no more smoke than usual

I run a re-map and just blew a 0.5 on my smoke test at MOT
