2004 Vito 115 Engine Oil, Gearbox Oil

Planning on doing an oil service on my Vito, Done some research on Web and Shell Helix Ultra Extra 5w 30 seems suitable. Has anyone any recommendations regarding type of oil, manufacturer etc.

Also planning on gearbox oil change, 1st and 2nd gear slightly stiff to engage when cold so thought Id start with oil change. But cant find any recent reliable info on what oil to use.

Found an old forum on another website but still confused.

For the gearbox i would say stick with MB ATF.

80W90 Gear oil.

Engine oil should be MB Spec 229.3 or 229.5. You can also run 229.31 or 229.51. This spec is written on the back of the bottle.

Thanks for the advice, any ideas on quatities. Engine I understand is 10L.
Any ideas on manual gearbox.

More like 9 L

I dont know the capacity of the 'box without looking it up.
