I'm liking this a lot...but I would like to see an E-Coupe next to the 2012 C-Coupe..

I'm not too sold on the styling- looks a little too"cobbled together"from the parts bin for my taste. Doesn't have anything like the style of the E coupe imho One thing is certain it needs white,a light metallic or bright colour to relieve the monolithic "slab"effect of the black or darker metallics. This may be in many ways a "stopgap " model since the natural successor to the CLC is rumoured to be a coupe version of the forthcoming A/B CLASS??

So this is instead of the CLC and CLK that was?

and aswell as an E class coupe?

Seems / looks a similar size and guess prices also will be similar so why have this over a E class coupe??

Its seems more and more manufactures almost have too many cars in the range that are too similar?

In the right spec / wheels it will more likely look good, but not sure why its needed..

The new A/B class will be based on the existing C class platform and the present A/B high sandwich floor design will not be used .

New Mercedes A-Class will arrive in 2011
Mercedes announced its intention of dropping the current A-Class platform and build the future A-Class on the same platform as the current C-Class.

What does this mean for the future A-Class that will be launched most probably in 2011? It will be a sporty-coupe capable to compete with models like Audi A3, BMW 1-Series and upcoming Alfa Romeo Milano.

The New Mercedes A-Class will be built on a new layout, called Mercedes Front-wheel drive Architecture, that has been conceived to support a much wider range of models and allows for four-wheel drive, paving the way for high-performance variants.

According to German sources there will likely be the regular hatch, a new mini-SUV, a sports hatch, and a possible four-door coupe model all spawned from the new MFA platform.

The main reason for increasing the number of fuel-efficient compact models is to help Mercedes reduce its fleet-average carbon emissions as well as boost sales.
