I love and respect both Mercs and Porsches (and am fortunate enough to own an example of both). It's unfair to compare the two on the same piece of road.

If I want twisty fun or track day action - it's the 911.

If I want a smooth, comfortable, refined, performance drive down the motorway - it's the Merc.

I believe it's called 'horses for courses'
