Well,

It took me 5 years to source a set of C43 AMG Sideskirts, and now I have!

Massive thanks to Momomo who found them + a set of C43 bumpers still attached to a W202 :bannana:

Completely intact, no cracks or scratches. Now to sand them down and respray!

Quiet possibly the rarest item to ever appear on eBay. :wallbash:

Nooooooo ..... paint them properly !!!

Speak to CLKClive , he isn't a million miles from you and has a body shop !

P.S. Great alternative use for an airer !

I had wondered how long you had the "Wanted-C43 AMG Sideskirts" in your signature for. Now I know. Well done.

Congrats Karl, well worth the wait surely ?

Look forward to another one of your detailed How-To's on them :thumb:

I'm pretty sure you were lazy in your "search" ;)

Probably you just wanted C43 skirts sold separately, but you could've easily bought a cheap W202 with the kit and then stripped the car for parts.

I wasn't prepared to buy another w202 and strip it as I don't have the resources, so no to your reply, I'm not lazy as you put it

Congratulation's Karl . The car will now be complete.

Congrats, thats great news, I know you've been waiting patiently for these!

One thing though, I'd also second Howards advice, you've waited so long already, try to get them paitned professionally.

If they are so rare I'd get some moulds done for spares...

Nice one Karl. The finishing touch will be to badge it C24 AMG ;)

Already sanded down :D

Im going to attempt to spray them myself. I know it sounds like a mad idea but I did my old W202's facelift sideskirts which looked perfect.

If its not upto scratch I will get them done 'properly' :)

I sprayed a mirror on my W202 with halfrauds 744 MB silver and then laquered it. Came out fantastic. After 24hrs, use T-Cut to shine up the clear coat then polish. I T-cutted the mirror then thought I could do better using a cutting compound. Big mistake. Just T-Cut and polish will be fine. Ensure you prep it properly and put loads of coats on. Then laquer as best you can with three good coats. The art is not to get any drips. Post up pics Karl when it's done.
