5 Years of Waiting...

Already sanded down :D

Im going to attempt to spray them myself. I know it sounds like a mad idea but I did my old W202's facelift sideskirts which looked perfect.

If its not upto scratch I will get them done 'properly' :)

I'm impressed, all credit to you for having the courage to do it. Good luck, we're keen to see pics of your car completed finally :D

Modding is not about instant gratification; it's about patience and planning!

Exactly, I could have just bought a C43 AMG... but were would the fun be in that? ;) ;) ;)

Massive thanks to Momomo who found them + a set of C43 bumpers still attached to a W202 :bannana:
I wonder how did Mo managed to find the car & how did he remember you`re looking for the SS :D

Of course Dash, nothing gets past you. You're the man when it comes to these things. You should start charging :D

The feeling you get when you help someone,is worth more than any payment :thumb:

Couple of photos (pre-lacquer).

Almost perfect for £18 worth of cans. I couldnt sand out all of the pits from the underside of the skirts (down to 10+ years of stones). the only people who are going to see them are the guys who do my annual service :D

Nice one Karl-Get that laquer on before the basecoat goes too hard.

Wow, looking good Karl. I'm impressed looks like a job well done, and all from an aerosol?

After a couple of hours with some T-Cut, lovely shine with a great reflection :D

Will be fitted any day now as my sill rust has been removed

All under holes undersealed, and then the complete under-skirt area Dynax'ed before the covering up.

Bit of a knightmare getting the clips to remain attached while fitting, they keep dropping off in the gap of the skirt :wallbash:

Clips and fittings from MB: £70 total!

With all these C43 to C55 conversions there should be quite a lot of engines available?

The 'next' mod :)

Karl the next mod should be Jack's 43 lump into your 240. Then you wil have the real deal!

Yeah, have thought about that, but I doubt the cost of it all, plus the gearbox, loom and fitting would be ££££'s
