Air conditioning re gassed today by Kwik Fit

In all fairness to our local Kwik Fit branch, when I first got my car and the AirCon did not blow as cold as it should - they did the job (twice to make sure) and did not charge me at all.

But is that because people have tried the cheap option of getting the gas topped up for it to leak out again or because they created problems?
