AMG Performance Studio - C63 interior

Hi Andrew, sorry to pick up the old thread, was looking for the modified interior photos, but they don't show up. Do you happen to have those photos saved? Can PM you my email if more convenient than re-uploading.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards
Michele

If its designo interior you're after, hope this helps.

kinaero, thanks for the link - seems they have updated it recently - looked at it a few weeks ago and it was still showing the pre-facelift car.

Actually looking for any photos of the lower part of the dash done in leather.

Here you go....well worthwhile doing!

Before (with just the top part in leather):

And what a proper C63 should look like ;)....

And finally, this part you could ONLY get by taking your car to Affalterbach. You can't just buy this and have it sent to you (as I think a couple of other frustrated C63 owners found out).....

I love this interior but I'd cry if I spilt some of many snacks on it. I know you and I agree to differ but I love this colour scheme. Had it on my X5 and loved it until I ate chocolate....

Would you consider a brown/tan leather in the place of the cream?

I also think this car was a "keeper" especially with the Mods done on it. Do you know who has it now?

I'd have actually preferred a more tan colour but they didn't do it (well, not without significant extra cost!). We don't differ Steve...I too like this colour scheme...anything other than black for me!

The person who bought it from me apparently has it for sale - it was on PH a few weeks back and don't think it sold yet.

You'd hate the shed. Black leather, really crap in the summer but hides chocolate stains plus its all 211 sports get. Tan is my favorite interior. Really hides chocolate stains....

I'd actually give up in car chocolate if I could afford your old motor :thumb:

This is exactly the kind of colour coding I was alluding to on another thread.

Mercedes should colour code the lower part of the dash in colours other than Black or Alpaca. It makes such a difference to the interior when picking contrasting interiors.

Stop eating Chocolate....or switch to Milkybar ;)

Andrew, thank you very much!

Am actually hesitating now on what to do with the interior - have another couple of weeks before the spec is set. Black interior would be my choice - love the way black and porcelain combo looks, but I know it will be stained by jeans (white shoes turned all blueish, what would be the seat colour after one month...). However, I thought maybe it's worth asking AMG to do the lower part of the dash in porcelain while the seats are all black (if they would agree to this without charging an extra on top of a lot they already charge).

What do you guys think?

I wouldn't go for a different colour dash without it matching the seats personally.

It's not that bad to keep clean....yes, you do get marks from jeans etc but as long as you wipe it every week with a good leather cleaner such as Gliptone liquid leather then it stays clean and new/matt looking. Do it weekly and all you'll need to do is wipe it - literally 2 minutes work.

To be fair, I'd still do this weekly with black leather as although dark, it still gets the dirt on it (just you can't see it as instantly). But without regular cleaning it'll still go shiny within weeks and I like my leather to keep that 'new' Matt appearance.

- Agreed. I found this to be an area MB were lacking compared to other marques when we were researching a new car recently.

Andrew, thank you. I think i will ask the dealer to see if they have a car with porcelain white available to see it in real. I think you are right on the dash / seats combo - probably would make the interior look a bit weird without matching seats.

Agree on black leather maintenance, have read your thread on Gliptone, very useful!

BTW, heard from mbworld forum they still ship the car to Affalterbach to get the leather dash installed. I was under the impression that having extended leather as part of "normal" extras list, this would be done at build and would not affect delivery time. Wish the dealer told me that.

Yeah, look at the interior colour options for the M3 - so much more choice!

Thanks mate! Looks fantastic! Is this in your CLS? How is it maintenance-wise?

yes, my CLS.

I have baby wipes in the boot.

I always wear clean non staining clothes.

Not a lot of maintenance, but needs a lot of care. Does look stunning though :)

Lovely looking car interior C240, as you say stunning! Is it a daily driver, in which case I do admire your devotion to keeping in it pristine condition. :thumb:
