Its comming up to the first anniversary of out trip to Torquay. As you will know this get to gether was awesome for all who attended. Our host and hostess were unbelievable in their generosity. So, running up the flag so to speak, how do members feel about another "bash" at Torquay? I have spoken with John and he seems agreeable. Both Ray and I are thinking about August. Does anyone feel that this is a good time? Comments please.

Having committed myself to a very strict shift pattern between now and Christmas I find I'm only available EVERY weekend in August ....:D

That's probably one more than me.

I have in-laws from overseas visiting in August (not sure which week) but may otherwise be able to attend as my brother is relocating about 10 minutes up the road!

In theory , sounds good ....

Have just changed shift patterns also and not sure if and when i will be changing back, but if i can , i will .....

Someone come up with a date and i'll try and wangle it off ...... oooo er ... :p

Am up for this as I couldn't make it last time.
A date would be handy, then I can book a week in Brixham to go fishing on my mate's boat:bannana: :bannana:

Yeah .. pick a date and count me in ... I'm sure it can be combined with something if we confirm it in good time :)

Will give John plenty of time to build a bigger car park as well ;)

You really know how to hurt a man. :o

I really miss my sea angling and wish you luck.

My mouth is watering at the thought of those lovely bass just waiting to jump onto your hook :)

Good luck,
John

We're in Devon in August, South Hams, bettter make sure we take the Merc.

It will keep our 2-year old son happy. He can't talk but can spot a Merc at 500 yards and says 'M, M, M'. Took him to a dealers the other day, and I thought he was going to burst at the sight of rows of the silver stars.

So far peeps this is looking promising. Subject to enough interest I will try to sort out a date. Please remember that I have to talk to John first, as I dont want to upset his routine. But the end of August is sounding ok to me , what do you lot think?

26th is the Bank holiday weekend. I deffo can't make that one and to be honest as Meg's is already away at Leeds festival that weekend so if we did come it would to be en famille and with the mutts:crazy:

TBH the last thing I would want to do is be on the roads over August Bank hol weekend - especially to places down south like Torquay.

No offence John - I would love to come and meet and your lovely wife. But the clue is in the getting to meet people not sit in a traffic jam:( :D ;)

Ah !!!

There is absolutely no chance of me getting the weekend of the 26th off .... one of out busiest weekends....

:(

Smeg...

:oTrust a 'she-male' to have the good sense to notice that. It will indeed be choatic.

No one last year had problems getting into Torquay, but I strongly stand by my suggestion of turning off the main roads as you leave Exeter (A380 Haldon) and come via Teignmouth.

Bank holidays though are a big problem, the M5 locks up simply with sheer volume of Mercedes-Benz owners.

I am as always 100% flexible, and whatever suits the majority will suit my family.

Yours very sincerely
John

Could be arranged matey.
If we sort a date, I am going to go for the week and camp somewhere in Brixham and have 1 or 2 days out on the boat.
