4th Annual Pilgrimage 30th 31st August 2008

Ditto to both Richard and WMs comments - Gloria and the kids were very attentive hosts (John do remind them how much they were appreciated). Thanks again.

I'm speechless... John and Gloria and Kids- what a wonderful organization!!!
I really enjoyed every minute today while being your guest :)

Thank you is NOT enough!

Anyway,
Many thanks!!!!

Chris

Yep agree with all comments. Cheers John and family great day, and nice to meet so many fellow enthusiasts. Looking forward to next year.

The pleasure is all ours and a BIG THANK YOU to everyone that very kindly turned up.

I will pass on all the thanks to my hard working family and I'm sure they enjoyed meeting everyone.

Yours very sincerely
John

Yet another absolutely top day. The one event where it's more about the people than the cars.
John and those who attended could spend all day thanking each other and it seems each will always think they got the better end of the deal.

Fact is it remains the best GTG in the calender and well worth the 626 mile round trip. (which I just made on one tank of fuel by the way)

Ray; you are absolutely right.

John; thank you, Gloria and your progeny for a lovely day.

Round trip 367 miles and about 40 miles left in the tank I reckon - a new record since I have had the coupe.

on to ebay now to get that GPS receiver! and a little hammer for checking wheels;)

At last - managed to get on here after Mattc has looked for small hammers and receivers!

John - I'd like to add my thanks to you and Gloria et al for a truly great day, lovely food, great location and of course last but not least the company was good too!:bannana:. Good to meet new people / see familiar faces. Here's to MBclubforum!

Huge thanks to John, Gloria and crew. (Left foot forward this year hence the sun, eh John?)
Nice to meet some of the regular attendees plus a few new faces.

Cheers to Mark300SL and DorianT for connecting up the SplitSecond Additional Injector Controller in the hotel's car park.

What can I add - perfect host, perfect company and even the rain stayed away until we got soaked on the M25 :)

Many Many thanks to John, Gloria and family - It was obviously very hard work but no-one was allowed to help and I have never seen such attentive hosts.
Allison somehow ended up with sunburn despite the lack of sun!

Janner - Thanks for the pic  - I WILL return the favour shortly :p
Will - Thanks for the diff - I will catch you online later

I will put up a thread shortly with the few pics I took - but here is the one group shot that we took towards the end :)

Dragon - its the turbo software ;) - you can buy Star

That's a fantastic picture, I have such a smile on my face. Feel totally bad I couldn't attend this year...

I will be at the next one, should our gracious host decide it's all worth it for another bash :)

Hmm, I see; I do wonder who I have to blame for that :D

Robert Saunders - He got the blame for everything - all weekend !

And he booked an incredible number of restraunt tables

Plus I think the traffic warden was getting suspicious when some many oiffenders were all giving their name as Robert.Saunders

Guido will protect me from the shiny one
Having met and talked with Guido i doubt it

John, just got back and both Bev and I would like to thank Gloria and the "kids" for what can only be described as one of the years highlights. You all did us proud yet again. The sun shone, meeting new and old faces was good and everything ran like clockwork. (it always does). 610 miles round trip and approx 31mpg out of the old girl. Roll on next year. :bannana::bannana:

I have some pics that need editing, as soon as I have I will post them.

Emma and I had a great time and found it really relaxing in your garden John. It is nice to take some time out.

Thanks for the hospiltality and see you next year!

I’d like to add my thanks to John and Gloria and their children for hosting this excellent event and putting up with all of us on Saturday. :) I knew already from the forum that John is a great bloke, but I have now personally been able to see how nice and friendly his whole family is. So, a big “thank you” to the whole Glojo family for a successful and highly amusing day.

And a big thank you too to all the others who I met in person, although after that new thread that I'm about to put up, things might change :D.
