Can't understand why they would come all the way back though, just to go back out again nearly straight away

You'll probably see lots of trucks with nice plates on this week though.
Mondello Park really is on this weekend.

Very, very unlikely the cars would be shipped back to the UK. Absolutely no sense. It could be possible there was a testing session and they were developing parts for the race cars? I don't think Honda has a Works British Superbike team??

DVLA have no record of my car either, but they still manage to get £99 for 6 months of VEL out of me

Because it's a newer car so falls into the over 225g/km band G.
