Many years ago I saw M3 MAD on some new Japanese car (Toyota Corolla or such like), it was the right year for an M reg so not sure if it was a private plate belonging to someone who recently downgraded from BMW to Toyota, or a an original plate where the car owner had no idea of it's potential value had it been transferable...
