Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

I'm sure like many I've seen some infringements but that one has to be taking the Michael the most.

And I got £100 fine for mine  I know it's wrongly spaced as stated in another thread but still perfectly readable !!!!!

I saw 1 WHO on a black Range Rover this evening north of Bournemouth.

There was fairly recent talk of easing off on spacing like that - the DVLA make a lot of money out of plates and they clearly don't spend it on their service.

As you say - still easily readable.

A lot of it is luck of being spotted or not and by enforcement who can be bothered I suppose.

Be57 car

i own this plate. is it cool or idiotic or does it depend on the car?. assume a C 250 sport premium tourer. I suspect it needs to go on a small car as a joke or something like a Ferrari. so do I put it on the car or sell ? I have no real clue of the value but suspect the right buyer might pay quite a bit, unless of course they have an supercar that is older than 2007. thoughts very appreciated, thanks

I don't think it's worth much as it's vehicle related.
People with plenty of money would get something more personal and people with less money who wanted a private plate wouldn't pay a lot for a plate that really is only a gimmick.

Personally I think it's a bit of a white elephant. FA57 CAR is a whole different ball game. BE57 CAR is like a wannabee that doesn't reach the mark, unless it's on a roller..... In which case you could afford a decent plate?

Seen at work today..... E7 YPE on a F Type Jag.

I would just put it on your car and enjoy it, it's a good looking number and doesn't need to be messed around with.

As to the value - probably what you paid for it (guessing circa £1.5k to £2k directly from the DVLA?)

Yes it's possible you could get offered a lot more but as already mentioned if you're spending a lot you may already have more appropriate plates already.

But its not an E-Type......sorry as much as I like the car its a bit dumb on an F-Type, classic case of real close but no cigar :dk:

Yup. Constant reminder that F7YPE was missed out on.

Ha! Its not available for purchase, so it may be somewhere, or just disallowed

I understand they have a team who look for these sort of plates to exclude from sale so you would have to be lucky to get anything rude and they can revoke plates as well should one slip through.

Maybe the E7YPE owner is a prolific collector of E-Types and the F-Type is their every day car?

thanks that's a good comment. only thought to add is that if I can find a Mr or Mrs Best that could be good.

well yes I did buy from DVLA it was a little more (2k5). I think I am concluding to see if it will sell as I notice Phil Tufnel bought BE57 CAT (not for a jag but apparently as his nickname) and if a Mr or Mrs Best or Carter sees my plate I may be in business. I think in balance since I don't drive a supercar and don't want to overstate what is a nice car I don't want it on mine, thanks again

Or with spaces... H1 5EC C
