Maybe the E7YPE owner is a prolific collector of E-Types and the F-Type is their every day car?
And wouldn't you have plopped it onto one of your E-Types in that case, nah....it's a :fail
Plate is 1987 or newer?
Yes, 87/88. You wouldn't be able to use it on an E type.
Would have to be a ETY9E plate or similar.

Welcome to Eagle - Eagle E-Types, The Eagle Speedster and the Low Drag GTSo if I was that guy and had a collection of E-Type as speculated, one would definately be one of these for normal use......then the plate comes in handy
It's PEN 15 (not PEN1S) and about the only genuine plate that ever 'got through'.
Used to be owned by a bloke called Steve Parrish I think.
It was thats correct, if its PEN 15 it got through and stayed registered long before DVLA started restricting combinations, although having said that I understood they still actually "own" the plate number and can recall it if they want, or if its mis-used, so quite surprised it has survived this long as I have only ever seen it spelling out....well you know
