Having only had the car for a few days, it has taken until today for the battery to drain, even though it has been in daily use. My code reader is telling me that the drivers seat control module is faulty (the seat still moves as it should, except the seat does not move with the ease of entry/exit feature). Is it possible that the module is the cause of the battery drain? If so, which plug should I disconnect from the module so that it will not drain but still leaving the restraint system operational, or is that not possible? (W203 C320 MY2000, fully electric seat adjust).

They are known to fail like that! My passenger one has! Just unplug the cables in the front of the module until you find the one that powers it! From memory as you look at the front of the unit it's the second block of cables from the left! There is a rewire you can do that stops the drain, just do a quick search and it's not that hard to do!

Wow, thanks Neil, that's exactly what I wanted to hear! Cheers.

have you also disabled the option from the settings screen? The first thing I did when I got my car was disable that feature to avoid this known problem, not sure if turning it off works on its own or if the rewire is the only option, but maybe a short term option until you can do the graft.
